Why Can’t I Just Pick Up A Product And Start Selling It?

Because without doing any form of research on the product/service you may not be able to adequately define

  • The value that your targets want
  • Who your targets are

You therefore run the risk of creating a product/service with no, little or insufficient value, which may prevent your product/service from making the sale, or you could end up trying to sell the product/service to the wrong targets which will most likely result in no sales too.
