To select some targeted social media sites to use in your business, you will need to research where your targets are on one or more social media sites. You may initially choose 1 to 3 social media sites, and then do some research on them, to determine if your targets can be found on them.

If you have already set up one or more social media accounts on the social media sites, you will need to review/audit them, in order to ensure that they have been set up correctly with the right type of information, links, details, graphics etc. You should ideally review/audit all your existing social media profiles, pages, groups etc, and how you are currently using them, in order for you to be able to adapt them to any new strategy and plan you may want to implement for the social media in your business.

To create a social media content strategy for your business simply means, you will need to determine the best way to use content on the social networks, to achieve your social media ROI. A social media content plan is an outline of the type of content you will post, what you will post, when, how frequently you will post and where you will post your content on the social media.
