  • Determine if you have enough number of staff to achieve your social media sales/profit goal, within the specific period of time you may have set/defined for it
  • Determine if your employees will need some training or coaching, for example as social media coordinators, social media strategists, promotional assistants etc.
  • Compare using your employees for your business social media marketing with some other non-employee options
  • Determine what you can afford
  • Determine what will work for your business

You can generally assign your employees and/or third parties, to one or more roles, for your business social media marketing.

You Will Also Need A Social Media Coordinator

You will need to choose a social media coordinator for your business who will

  • Be responsible for coordinating all of the social media management and marketing tasks and activities for your business.
  • Manage the process and the people involved
  • Ensure that everything is done the way it should be done
  • Ensure that your employees are assign to one or more roles
  • Ensure that your selected or chosen employees fulfil their roles

This can actually be a fulltime job in itself, depending on how big or large your employees and third party social media marketing teams are, and on what you may need to do, or what you may have planned to do, with your business social media marketing.

You may choose to be the social media coordinator for your business, or you may choose to use your in-house social media strategist or another employee (that is, your employee), as your social media coordinator.

Your business social media coordinator may have some other job titles such as “marketing manager”, “digital marketing manager”, “social media manager” etc too.
